Monroe 2026 Read-A-Thon!

Save the date for our spring Read-a-Thon–an event that will raise money for the Monroe PTA and encourage students’ love of reading! From March 25 through April 24, the PTA will be encouraging Monroe students to read 20 minutes per day for a total of 10 hours of reading. Students can get pledges from family and friends to support their reading–flat donations or a dollar amount per hour completed. There will be prizes for the classrooms with the most participation. Students who complete a reading bingo card will be entered into a raffle for an additional prize.

We need parent volunteers for two things (1) to donate cookies, and (2) to help at our kick-off event on March 23th and 24th. Every class will visit the amphitheater to pick up a free book and a cookie and receive Read-a-Thon instructions. Parent volunteers will pass out cookies and help each student choose a book to take home. Sign up for cookie donations and volunteer shifts below!
