Events to welcome new Kinder families:
Kinder Breakfast and Orientation

When: August 20 2018
Please come join the outgoing Kinder classes and teachers for a breakfast and orientation on August 20th at 8:30am, the first day of the 2018-2019 school year. We will have an orientation with the Principal, meet the teachers, most recent Kinder classes and parents and enjoy a breakfast event from 8:30am-9:30am in the Monroe Amphitheater.

Please join our email group! Monroe has an active PTA and an email group that allows us all to stay in touch, share valuable information and ask questions of the larger school community!

General Information before the first day of school [August 20, 2018]

Classroom assignments are usually posted on the Madrid entrance a week before school starts.

Drop off: School starts at 8:25am with the first bell at 8:22am. Drop off and breakfast in the cafeteria is available starting at 7:45am – 8:10am. 8:10am-8:25am is drop off and line up outside on the play yard. Adults are welcome to stay on the play yard with their children during morning line up. Each class walks to their classroom with their teacher and classmates.

Pick up: School ends at 2:40 M, W, Th and Fridays. Early release on Tuesdays at 1:25pm for K-3, 1:30pm grades 4-5. Adults can pick their children up at their classrooms or at the Lisbon St gate. If your child is enrolled in the onsite YMCA after school program, the YMCA will pick them up in their classroom and take them to the program. Other after school programs also arrange for pickups at Monroe.
