Events this summer:
Kinder BBQ and Orientation
When: August 19th 2017 10am-1pm
Please come join the outgoing Kinder classes and teachers the Saturday before school starts. We will have an orientation with the Principal, meet the teachers, most recent Kinder classes and parents and have a fun day of activities and food.
Please join us! Monroe has an active PTA and an email group that allows us all to stay in touch, share valuable information and ask questions of the larger school community!
General Information before the first day of school [August 21, 2017]
Classroom assignments are usually posted on the Madrid entrance a week before school starts.
Drop off: School starts at 8:25am with the first bell at 8:22am. Drop off in the cafeteria is available starting at 7:45am – 8:10am. 8:10am-8:25am is drop off and line up outside on the play yard. Adults are welcome to stay on the play yard with their children during morning line up. Each class walks to their classroom with their teacher and classmates.
Pick up: School ends at 2:25 M, W, Th and Fridays. Early release on Tuesdays at 1:25pm. Adults can pick their children up at their classrooms or at the Lisbon St gate. If your child is enrolled in the onsite YMCA afterschool program, the YMCA will pick them up in their classroom and take them to the program.
