Events to welcome new Kinder families:
Virtual Kinder Orientation for Fall 2020

When: August 15 2020 11am

Parents and children are invited to attend a virtual Kinder orientation on Saturday, August 15, at 11:00am.
Meet your principal, vice principal and teachers. We will begin with a general orientation and provide links to separate Zoom meetings for each class.

General Information before the first day of school [August 17, 2020]

Classroom assignments are usually posted on the Madrid entrance a week before school starts.

School will be 100% remote for the start of the 2020 School Year. Information below is for when we return to the school grounds.


Mission YMCA Social – Check out https://www.ymcasf.org/locations/mission-ymca for an update on date and time.

Drop off: School starts at 8:25am with the first bell at 8:22am. Drop off and breakfast in the cafeteria is available starting at 7:45am – 8:10am. 8:10am-8:25am is drop off and line up outside on the play yard. Adults are welcome to stay on the play yard with their children during morning line up. Each class walks to their classroom with their teacher and classmates.

Pick up: School ends at 2:50pm M, W, Th and Fridays for all grades. Early release on Tuesdays at 1:50pm for all grades.  Adults can pick Kinders up at their classrooms and Grades 1-5 will be on the yard. If your child is enrolled in the onsite YMCA or OST after school program, the program will pick them up in their classroom and take them to the program. Other after school programs also arrange for pickups at Monroe.
